New Clutch
Well I found out its not my chain, I believe its my clutch. No matter what gear I am in, and I accelerate quickly the rpm's go up, but the bike does not accerate like it should. Has anyone ever replaced their clutch or is this something that should go to the dealer?
come on man, it takes like 10 minutes, its simple.

checked the clutch cable? maybe it is still engaging when the lever is at rest. Otherwise it could be a worn clutch but nothing to do with the tranny. Tranny symptoms would be, getting to neutral alone, refusing a gear, crunchy noises.

and yea, you may check the clutch lever, it should have some freeplay (exactly how much is in your service manual) but the freeplay is a safety margin so you know that the clutch isnt being disengaged slightly even when you arent touching the lever.
I have the entire manual 492 pages. And I printed the whole thing out. The clutch does have alot of play, I have to almost let it out completely before the bike will move forward.
check from the engine side of the clutch on your Right crankcase cover. When i dismantled my bike it took quite a lot of playing to get it to engage right without any slippage. At most open the right crankcase and check your clutch, it only takes 15 mins. Check you dont have any broken springs, and check clutch thickness with a caliper, at least you will start ruling out some problems.
