Default New Cbr 600 F4i question

Hi all,
First post. I am planning on driving to Chicago area to pick up one of the last remaining new F4i's. My questions are:
1. Should I have the oil changed before taking delivery since the bike has been sitting on a showroom for two years?
2. How long should I expect this battery to last since it has also been sittin around all this time?
3. Is $7100 a reasonable price to pay, or should I just find a used one?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

1) they will put brand new oil in it if it is a new bike
2) they will put a brand new battery in it if it is a new bike (or charge the one they had for the first time)
3) yes it is a reasonable price to pay

welcome! :-)

They will charge the battery, that will be fine. Ask about oil, they should have already freshly oil'd her before you get there, and that is a good price for a "new" f4i....plus welcome to the boards

Get em while you can, I got my yellow silver f4i this winter brand new, they should not even have fluids in it until it sells, in the showrooms they are empty.

I did pay a little less for mine but paid to have it shipped as well, I am still amazed honda stopped selling these, I still like the f4i's more than most of the newer bikes I ride....

***** World Cycles is the dealer. I believe they still have a yellow one also. They are west of Chicago in Joliet, IL. I will make sure fluids are fresh and battery is charged before I ride back to Indpls. Thanks for the responses.

If the dealer is good they will make sure the bike is ready to go for you- washed, fresh fluids, battery charged, air pressure in tires checked, etc. Good luck and welcome to the club!
