Default new bike

A couple days ago my little brother bought a 01 F4i. After riding his it resparked my interest in buying a street bike. I had been pretty interested last year in getting a bike but couldn't get approved. Today at the dealership I found a 03 F4i with 34 miles on it for $6000. I haven't really followed the cbr progression but I do know that 03 they also introduced the RR. I know that the RR is a bit more aggressive in the seating position and suspension but how much of a difference is there in the motor, or what other main differences are there? Thanks for any help. I think this should be a pretty good bike since its practically brand new and I don't have to pay the extra for a new one. Let me know what you guys think and how it compares to the RR.

if your not concerned about getting a 'brand new' bike you could drop one year, go to a 2002, and save about $1000. Sure it will have more miles on it, but if your just going to be a casual rider you wont notice a difference at all.

I wouldn't mind getting something a litlle bit older as long as it was fuel injected but the problem is that there are practically no 600's that are reasonably priced in the Denver area. Last week while shopping for my brothers bike we called every 600 listed in the paper and cycle trader and only found one that was not sold ( the guy had been away for a couple days after posting it and had over 60 messages on his phone for it when he returned). This is the first 600 I have seen at a dealer in quite a while. Usually I would buy private party but I know the sales manager at this dealership very well and don't mind giving him my business. I figured this was a good deal for a practically brand new bike but not at the cost of a brand new one.

34 miles and only $6000!! That sounds like a deal too me!!..the 600RR has more power, but if you never ride one, you will not miss it. The F4i is more practical and you can put more than just your registration under the seat!!

See, to me that seems high priced....But I think that bikes sell for alot more in Cali then they do in SD. lol I picked up this bike (2002 f4i) last year for $5500 and it had 1700 miles on it, mint condition.

EDIT: it also has some cosmetic mods, yosh pipe, helmet and 8ft folding loading ramp included with the sale.

Sounds like a good deal to me, though are you sure you want the same bike as your bro?

We live a couple hundred miles away so it shouldn't be a problem and the bikes are different colors.
