new battery and clutch
 

so i have a 2001 cbr 600f4i and i need a new battery and a new clutch

on and im also looking to get a stabilizer

any suggestions?

i got my battery off ebay. it was brand new and cheap for 30 bucks. and works great

I personally replaced my clutch with a Barrette Kevlar clutch, supposed to be stronger than stock, last longer, blah blah. Its a bit touchier than stock was but I like it better and have been told by the few people ive let ride my bike that they like it better too.

I did read on here though and im pretty sure this was from people who stunt their bike that they wear out faster than stock, I don't stunt mine much and its been 2 years since it was put in sooo I don't have any personal experience about that.

The stabilizer all depends on your taste.. You could go with the old school ohlins that has a bar going across. Or you could go with a Scott's and it sits ontop of triple a little more out of the way.. I have the ohlins because it was bought used and it was the best deal i could find. Mine works well.. There are other brands out there but the two just mention are probably the more popular ones..

When doing the clutch, get new springs and fibers. Take your clutch apart and get your steels bead blasted, it gets the glazing off them and let's them bite better. If you fnd yourslef needing a stabilizer a lot you could probably work on technique. I've never thought I needed one, and i've felt the front get light and move around a handful of times. Slipper clutches and steering stabilizers can help you In a hairy situation, but for the majority of riders, I think it just allows them to be lazy.
