Exclamation Need some expert help!

Hey guys. I'm thinking about picking up a subframe, tail light, and a tail plastic from a guy about 80 miles away (one way) for $180. The price seems good. But how do I know if the subframe is straight or if anything is wrong with it? He sent me some info and some pictures. This is what he told me:

2003 Honda CBR F4i parts. No accident.
Slit seat subframe is straight. The subframe is black, as all were 2001-2003. It has the seat lock mechanism w/ cable still on it. Very good condition.
The tail-cowl is factory Honda, not aftermarket. All tabs/holes are intact, no cracks. It has a circular cutout on each side in the rear where turn signals were but could easily be covered w/ fiberglass/vinyl/etc. Its spray painted black but most are going to repaint anyway. I'm not really asking much for this...most is for the subframe.
I'm basically throwing in the tail light for free b/c I don't need

Pardon my newbieness and enlighten me with knowledge! All feedbacks wanted!! Thanks!!

Hell of a deal for $180. Sub looks good, tail alone can bring over $100. I just paid $150 for a sub alone. See if you can get more pics from different angles

Yeah its a good deal man. I'll try to get some more pics. Thanks for the feedback.

Btw: What's a reasonable price to sell my subframe, rear plastics, and seat?

What condition/colour are yours? Red/Black is the most common, but there was a yellow/dark grey that was much more rare. Smaller market - etc

If you get that for 180... I'd guess 220. I'd not pay that much personally... and you'll probably make more splitting them up on ebay.

...or maybe he red your topic here and realized that he under-priced the parts...

hahaha. well i know thats not the reason cause he contacted me today!! YAY!! lol. Im gona try to pick it up tomorrow. I was told that the only way I can tell if the subframe is straight or not is when I mount it and that all the bolts should line up perfectly. Is this true? Any tips or advice?? Thanks in advance!

If you gotta wait to mount it to tell if its straight, it'll be to late to do anything about it. Not like the guy will give you a refund. So if you get it and its fubar, just post it on eBay. lol
