Welcome to the forum.

I think only 01-06 f4i motor's are a direct bolt on.

Not 100% sure, but I believe 99 and 2000 F4 motors are the same also, Just without the fuel injection.

01-06 F4i for sure. Any California motor and all 06 F4i have the 02 canister for emissions, so avoid that year if you don't want extra nonsense. 99-00 F4 motor may fit without modification (not sure) but they're carbureted so you don't want that, lol.

Wiring harnesses are slightly different between the two body styles, so keep that in mind. 01-03 is best.

01 - 06 fits 100%
can also use the 99-00 motor, its also direct bolt in. (f4 and f4i frames are exactly the same)

Something to concider, the f4i uses different cooling hookups on the rear of the motor due to the throttle bodies on the Fuel injection uses coolent to controle the idle. May need to take a look into that, but it is a direct boltin.

It may be "direct bolt-in" but not *direct use*. ;-) To replace the fuel injected model, replace w/ fuel injected model.

For sure, the best motor i found that didnt really seem to be crap is out of an 06 cbr rr, if i were to try to use this what all would have to be done, the guy said the computer would come with it, so would i be able to weld up new motor mounts or would the motor not fit in the frame at all

And if i could, how much more of a pain is the 02 canister, the only reason im entertaining this idea is because im getting a great deal on what seems to be a great motor, everything else was over priced for what seemed to beaten motors
