Need Help Please! Headlight probs again.

A while back I had a headlight prob with my f4i, it ended up being a starter switch connection. This was rectified and about 8 months later... last friday it happend again.

I have pulled both hi low switch apart and the starter switch and all appears to be fine, I have cleaned them and wiggled and jiggled but no good.

I spoke to my mate who I ride with and he forgot to mention he noticed my lights cutting in and out when we last rode last weekend.

I have also checked voltage across the circuit and it appears to be fine, it is not a globe I made sure of that but I noticed that the main plug at front that has prob 10 or so wires in it was causing the relay to click when you moved it. I adjusted the little prongs and cleaned and put some contact grease and it appeared to work fine.

However after putting bike back together after washing it and thinking prob solved it was out again. For some bizare reason it does get 12v at socket to globe but when you connect globe there is nothing....????

To me it seems like there is not enough amps or current even tho there is 12v unloaded.
The wire looks a tad dark so I am thinking it has damaged wiring from bad plug shorting over time or something.

Has anyone had similar probs or got advise, perhaps my starter switch is the prob again I am not sure but i spent 4 hours on it and I am thinking take it to auto elec or sell it now and buy a 06 cbr1000...

Any help much appreciated guys.!

After swapping my upper fairing out and getting it all looking pretty, I went to fire my bike up and the headlight was out. Hi beam worked and then all of the advice just poored out of everyones mouths that said it was the bulb because the Hi beam worked so it's getting juice cause it's jumpered. WRONG!

It turned out to be the main connector, I am still scratching my head but it was, I pulled it apart and disconnected checked contacts, put back on and blinded myself.

Ten wire on left side of bike, the main in the front upper fairing.
