I have not used to bike in about 3 months, a guys came to see it because he wanted to buy it and it turned on and worked great for about 15 minutes. Then it just died out and would not go past 3,000 RPM. Any ideas as to what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced.

 

It is a 2002 F4i 600

 

bad gas?, If no Fi light then you probably have contaminated gas

 

How do i purge? or do i just fill the tank up???

 

drain it all out completly, get al that nasty gas out of there and put some nice premium gas in there

 

Do you guys know the simplest method to draining the gas?

 

The Fi light is not on, so it probably is the bad gas, if you guys could let me know the easiest way of doing it let me know. THanks for all the help.

Hit walmart and get a gas siphon with a bilge pump ($5 bucks). That’s the easy, cleanestway. Then like roldaphat9 said put some good clean gas in there. You'll probably have to crank her a few times to clean the lines and hopefully thats will fix the prob. G-luck.
