Default need help NYS inspection

i live in new york and have an 01 f4i and i cant get it inspected becuase they say i need dot turn signals. the prior owner cut the lower part of the undertail off and mounted an m4 high mount exhaust so stock turn signals wont fit. is there a short stalk dot aproved turn signal ?. or am i gona have to sell my M4 and go back to stock exhaust and get a new undertail and turn signals? how much would my m4 high mount be worth to?

Let me guess, your trying to get your bike inspected at a dealer. What i would do is find a local mechanic[private, maybe out of his own home] who does inspections. Thats what i did and he didn't even realize that the rear turn signals that i intergrated into my taillight were not stock, he works mostly with cruisers. Or you may want to try a Harley dealer because they may be a little more flexible with after market parts. Where in upstate are you from, I grew up in Holland Patent just north of Utica. I live in Ma. now. Let us know how it goes.

Are you getting it inspected at the dealer? Shouldnt really matter since most places in NYC or NYS just test to see if the lights work. brake lights, headlights. turns. thats it! For a 6 dollar inspection no one is not going to be **** with your bike. Just take it to the inspertor guy and see how he reponds. If he dont like it, go to another guy. If they give u more ****, just tell them you use hand signals to alert other motorists......

i was told that the integrated tail light system is illegal.......MA may be diff than NY but they said the blinkers must be 9" apart to be legal..........i just went to a different dealer and found some older biker dude to do mine haha
