Default Need help : chain tensioner bolts stripped

The 8mm bolts to adjust my chain are stripped out. Cant I just replace these 8mm bolts with some matching new ones from parts store ? or do I have to order the entire piece together? From the eBay pictures it looks like the bolts can’t be screwed out I may be wrong. need some info I don’t want to wait on parts to come in if I can just replace bolts. 2002 cbr 600 f4i

Did you let chain wear out so much you maxed out adjusters? If threads are stripped at base, then nuts are damaged as well. You’ll have to cut bolt heads off to remove. Trick is replacing nuts, not sure available individually.

Just bought it 2 weeks ago seller says it’s a new chain. Also when I ride I have to keep tightening the chain like every 2-3 days. threads are good it’s the bolt heads are stripped.

Check sprockets and measure chain, something’s wrong. If sprockets are worn, brand-new chain will wear quickly.

Remove 2x links from chain.

If threads in nut is good, then unscrew bolt completely using vice-grips and replace with generic bolt of proper length. Grind tip to point like original ones.

Default Found the problem

Went to local bike shop and luckily found matching screws you don’t have to replace the whole bracket. & I Finally Got in touch with seller turns out he had a 520 pitch chain on a 525 pitch sprocket, fixed that and it solved my problem.
