Need front & rear stands for oil change?
#11
i would say no as well
stands are good to have and very handy, i got a set for each of our bikes. but for oil changes, no need. i put in 3.5qt or 3.3L which ever one you prefer. no need to look at any eye hole or anything.
just reach in pop the plug and drain it, go for a beer/smoke/coffee what ever, come back, pop the filter off. replace the filter with a new one and put the plug back in.
IF YOU REALLY WANT, you can sit on the bike and stand it up for a few min to level the drain and remove the last 10 drops but i don't bother, a bit of old oil left in there isn't going to hurt anything.
save your stands for the time you need to do real work to your bike like lube/tighten your chain or do a brake job or what ever. an oil change is a 5 min job.
