First off, I would *not* agree to ditch the tire. Most likely, your tire has many miles left in it. Catastrophic tire failures are extremely rare during normal riding/commuting. And YES, I did sell tires for a living & have technical knowledge of materials & production, etc. That being said, not having your tire in front of me to examine, it can't be said for sure but, most likely you'll still be able to use this tire.
I punctured a brand new Michelin PP2CT w/ less than 100 mi on it. I patched AND plugged the tire & ended up getting over 8k on that tire. Thread & pics here... https://cbrforum.com/forum/showthrea...=101317&page=2 .
Keep a close eye on your tire pressure...& if it doesn't leak, I agree w/ PG & others...RIDE ON!
