Rudy what was your mileage at and how many miles have you put on the bike? I'm thinking I'll check mine at 30k.

you need to pull the CCT and the cam's out to re-shim the valves, but you should leave it in when checking valve clearance. so the chain doesnt pop off a cam gear and mess up the timming while you keep turning the crank shaft to line up the cams to measure you could hit a valve on the piston.
plus its one less thing to put back on if your valves are within spec.
after you have measurements i would advise, having the notch line up to T and have cylinder 1's lobes face away from each other, otherwise rotate the crank again.
make a note where everything is at as far as the in/ex are on the cam gears and then remove the CCT, cam's, and don't let the chain fall.

my bike has 26,000 miles or so and clearance was last checked at 10k miles, i dont know if adjustments were made, i doubt it though. im not adjusting it this time.
