Looks pretty good! Any plans to get that tank painted to match?

T-Rich 10-04-2011 05:07 PM

yeah im gonna get it painted this winter, dont want to waste any of the perfect weather out right now. pretty rare to have such nice weather for a long period in Oklahoma. after the tank is done i just got to figure out what to do about the small scratches on everything i havnt replaced. former owner
got drunk and rode then wreaked it.

I like that paint scheme, a lot.

Looks good, obviously you've been busy! What's next on the "to do" list?

Yeah thank you eBay, all it cost was $500 and 3 weeks of antagonizing waiting. Sucked having to cut holes for the big frame sliders.

As for whats next, today im gonna run a switch to ground out my fan for riding in the city. 220 degrees feels a little warm on the legs.

I added more LEDs to my light kit that came with the bike yesterday when it gets dark out il take some more pics to share.

Rather than wiring in a switch you could get a thremo switch for a 1993 Nissan Pulsar...and replace the one on your bikes radiator. There is a how-to-do-it-yourself thread on here somewhere. It's not too difficult to do, takes about an hour max, and will drop your running temperature about 20*f.

thanks for the tip but, i did the switch before i read that. works perfect. All i did was run a wire into the temp switch, to a switch ($3 at radio shack), and then grounded out the switch into one of the negatives for my led kit. only took about 20 min. really easy to do. now i can run the fan any time want and it still work at stock temp.

i like how i have just under 300 views. Dont be shy say what u think i should do from where i am except painting the tank on my to do list.
