My idea needs your ideas

So I decided for my own viewing pleasure I would like to record a few of my rides with some kind of video recording via tank cam/helmet cam, etc. But I was thinking that my phone shoots 720p video at 30frames, so do any of you think there could be a way I could fashion a device or mount so I could use this method?
I honestly dont know where to start because it would require a secure way to mount the phone, and also a way to eliminate the vibrations of riding as well as wind noise.
One method I tried was using my universal GPS mount for my car and suction-cup'ing it to my tank, but the vibrations made it unwatchable. Plus I was constantly worried the phone would fly out of the grips.
I have heard of a few local people who mount a camera to their chest in some way, but again I dont know how that could work with a phone.

Thanks for any serious or sarcastic responses; just another project to keep me busy as we expect MORE snow in MN.

Springs, foam, hang it with elastic/rubber bands, or mount it to your helmet (even without being conscious of doing it, you will naturally try to keep your head stable, more so if you know the camera is there).

Invest in a go pro. I have two of them and they are worth it.

If you are stuck on using your phone you need to muffle the microphone inlet. Some foam may work. The type that comes on the blue tooth mic for a car.

For vibration that is going to be a tough one. Heaving multiple points on the bike to hold the mount will help. But your phone isn't designed for too much anti vibration. This is why the go pro works so well because the anti vibration is top notch.

if you wanted to use your phone you could use regen's mount idea

https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-mecha...-mount-122902/

but just make it so it sits high enough to see through the windscreen and is angled correctly and everything. Just find a case or clip for your phone that will work and has a hole for the camera or make your own hole.

I agree, I think that would be the best way. It'd be a lot easier if you weren't concerned about the sound. (Duct tape it to the the helmet or middle of the head lights haha. :icon_shrug:)
