My First mini-road trip
Hey everyone,
I'm taking my '02 600 F4i on our first mini roadtrip this evening. Gonna be heading up to the beach (dewey!), so its a couple hours drive. Have a friend i'll be following in a car - well he might just end up following me - so he'll have my backpack with all my stuff, so will just be me and the bike.
I figure it will be 2 hours, 2 and a half hours. I've been out on the bike for periods of time that long so i'm hoping it will go well.
Any tips - guess I should stop and stretch occasionally to keep things loose.

Our beach is about the same distance away, bout 2 1/2 hours ride/drive.
I've taken the trip many a times, usually, just about half way we take a little break, fill the gas tank and drink water. Its Texas, gets to and above 100F.
Feels like 110! I'd suggest you keep your friend driving behind you instead of in front, just in case you need to make an impromptu stop and he can see you and pull over as well.
You live in the D.C. area, maybe not as hot as Tex (used to live in Silver Springs and Bethesda in MD) but its always a good idea to keep well hydrated.
