.....+1 on the MSF course. I had been riding 2 wheels (mostly dirtbikes) for about 12 years and it still made me a better, safer rider.

Stock mirrors have decent visibility and can be found on ebay.

Hey quick question for you guys, don't want to start a new thread.

I tried to check chain slack with a ruler, and well everytime i push the chain up it hits the frame before the recomended 1-1 3/8in, is this normal or is there something i should take off? I also need to order a new sticker that goes on the rear left adjusted, the one that says when i need a new chain.

 

Frame as in the swingarm? If so, that is way too much slack. You'll need to adjust that for sure. Otherwise it will damage your chain, swingarm and whatever it hits when you are riding.

 

are you measuring at the center point between the 2 sprockets?

I'm checking between both sprockets and it hits the chain slide (not sure if thats what its called) and when i check it from where its sitting its less then an inch before it hits the chain slide. The bike is dropped an in so idk if that makes any difference

 

Well i tried it again, i pulled it down then back up dead center and got 1in, but if i move towards the front of the chain a bit more if i push up it hits the chain slide just a little bit, only if i push with force though so idk.

 

wow that is an awesome color, i might decide not to sell my bike and paint it like that instead! do you know what color it is?

also, what is the switch for to the left of the gauges?

 

oh i think the person before the guy i bought it from had underbody lights or something like that.

Its a grey metallic i believe, i think Ford has that color.

 

sorry guys, another stupid question.

Been looking at a lot of f4is on ebay (looking for mirrors) and noticed that on my cluster my turn signals are orange all the time and when i turn they blink, while on the bikes on ebay (ones with cluster pics) there not lit up at all. Is there something wrong with my cluster or light? And how can i fix it if its a problem? If not doesn;t bother me.
