My F4i maintenance thread
Picked up a silver 05 F4i for $1,700 with 20,8## miles. It's in nice condition for the year, minus a few small scratches and scuffs.
Owner replaced the battery just before putting it up for sale.
At 20,884 I replaced the tires with Pirelli Rosso II. Changed the oil with T6 Rotella and a Purolator filter.
Needs rear brake pads. Front looks good.
Needs brake fluid and coolant flush.
Will replace the fork seals and oil in the near future. They're not leaking, but they've never been replaced.
Will post pics later

Because I want to change the fork oil as well as all O rings inside the forks since they degrade over time, so I may as well change them while I'm at it. It's recommended that the oil be changed every 24k miles or so, or every few years.
I'd understand if someone held off until they leaked. The truest reason is that I like taking used bikes apart to see how well they've fared over the years. I also get to inspect wiring, hoses, etc along the way. I like my bikes running like the day they came out the factory.
