Muffler fell off my bike!
 

I was riding the 2005 600 F4i today which i bought 3 weeks ago and the exhaust pipe fell off my bike while on the freeway! I have never heard of this happening as there was no corrosion or mechanical problems of any kind that i knew of.

That is nuts!!! Were you able to get it back? Was it aftermarket?

So, did the rear FP mount break too? Or did you just lose the bolts?

Its clamped in the front and bolted in the rear, how did it fall off?

that sucks! who ever installed it last probably didnt do it correctly. My bar end wiggled its self outta place..

i had this happen as well(had to watch a car run over it too). when you replace it make sure the bolt on the passenger peg is secure. mine also had a bent header which contributed...

SOOOO I am guessing that take off my passenger pegs for looks and having the pipe support my shorty isnt good???? :) Maybe I will come up with some type of alternate holder...I do not ride with passengers and want a cleaner tail area.

check out ebay, theres a little bracket on there u can get and use, its like 25 bucks or something
