I believe my clutch cable is worn, because there isn't as much movement in the lifter lever. In addition, previously, I could feel the clutch engaging with the hand-clutch lever half-released... whereas now, it only engages/disengages at almost rest position.

Can someone give me an approximate, or two pictures for reference, one of 'clutch out', and one with 'clutch in' ?

you guy's ever find any resolution? I just bought my bike saturday and all seems to be well besides the cct and the clutch. The clutch lever only engages when nearly all the way out. It is a somewhat heavy clutch.. but im hoping its the cable not the actual clutch..

 

Buy a new cable. $25 and you'll have your answer.

 

You can adjust the cable at both ends. If you have both ends fully tightened, then I would try a new cable.
