Motor/fuel question

As I posted in another post I went down pretty hard and my bike is in real bad shape. I had my wife turn the key just to see if she would turn over and she does. The motor never lost oil at any point just coolant. When the key is turned the fuel pump doesnt prime. Is there some kind of safety shot off I need to reset or did the pump take a ****? The fuel tank did get ripped out of the top 2 screws and slammed on one side. When I heal up where should I start looking? Thanks again all

After a crash like yours it could be a number of things man. The tip over switch resets once you turn off the bike i do believe so i doubt its that. Obviously make sure its in neutral, make sure the headlights are connected and working, your ignition couldve gotten effed up. You could start by jumping your fuel pump and see if it primes. If it does then you just gotta track down whats preventing it from priming when you start the bike normally. Get a multimeter and check the power and ground for the fuel pump, check the power to the ignition, check the pink wire running to the ignition and make sure its not getting 12v. Those are a few of the things i can think of right now im sure some more people will chime in with other good places to start and check.

Thanks alot ya I forgot to hook up the headlight wiring. Theres so many pieces I forgot about that one lol. She primed right up shot out a big dirt ball and fired right up and ran great. So atleast I have alittle good news.
