Lowering Link W/kickstand

RE: Lowering Link W/kickstand
Hi...
I'm not interested in the lowering link or kickstand... I'm curious how you went about switching out the link and stand. I have an 06 F4i that I just bought and it has a lowering link installed. Previous owner was short and had the dealer put it on and bend the side stand shaft to lean properly. I bought a stock dog bone off ebay and will just bend my kickstand back straight. But how easy was it to swap out the link? I assume you probably did it yourself? Is it something I could do with a rear wheel stand or will I need to suspend it? Any tips?
Thanks so much for the help.

RE: Lowering Link W/kickstand
i just used to jack stands under each passenger to get the bike high enough, then stacked some 2x4s under the rear tire so that it would be easier to take the dog bone out, then once you have the dog bone out you can take out some 2x4s to make the stock dog bone sit in place, took some time, alot of trial and error, only cause i never did it before, any other questions post up, hope to have helped
