Default lowering bike with rear shock

I would like to lower my bike a 1/2 inch. From what I've read, this can be done by adjusting the rear spring setting. How do I change the setting? I see the numbers, and it looks like it's set on 3 ( I think ) . I'd like to lower it to 2, and see how much of a difference that makes, butI can't figure out how to adjust it. My bike didn't come with the manual, but I do have the tool kit. Anyone feel like giving me a step by step? I'd appreciate it.

that sets the preload for the rear shock. It could lower the bike roughly 1/2" but it would feel like you were riding on marshmallows unless you weigh like 90lbs lol.

Well, lol, Not much more than that.. I'm only 125 lbs..I want to try it and see how itgoes. If i dont like it, I'll just have the local honda shop drop the bike for me. Ok so how do Ichange the preload?

Use the tool that looks like a question mark (?). Right above the numbers on the preload adjustment are holes that the tool hooks into. Turn to the number you want. Nothing to it.
