Lower the f4i?

I have a 600 04 f4i that I would like to lower by a half inch to a full inch because I'm short and would feel more comfortable knowing I can put both feet down anyone know how I can do this in a safe manner without messing something up I'm sure I have the tools to do so just need the know how Tks in advance

Have you considered modifying the seat?

Are you running the split seat or banana?

Split seat rr conversion so not much room to shave off on the seat in 5'4 short like I said I don't really wanna lower the bike but I use to drop my 500 ninja all the time just cause the height issue I have never dropped this one(knock on wood) but I would feel more comfortable if I could just lower it slightly

If you round the edges just a little, your legs will have a straighter shot to the ground.

Otherwise, you will need to modify the suspension. Lowering link on the rear and shorter springs in the front. Some front fork set ups have a spacer in between the spring and the cap that can be shortened to lower it a little. Not sure what style you have....

As Demon mentioned, rounding the seat edges will help to give you a little more leg extension. Remove the seat cover and carefully trim the plastic base and foam. You will reach a point where additional material removal won't help due to the width of the tail cover sides. At 5' 4", suspension lowering is probably your only real option.

I honestly don't know what style I have I don't know much in bikes other than how to ride, I'm slowly turning into the mod guy on my bike from doing an rr conversion but it's taking time I'll look into shaving the seat a bit and look into the cost of lower suspension in the rear tks again guys
