Low Idle then cut off
 

Ok so i had to charge my battery the other night because it wouldnt start. that worked and now the bike starts but now my problem is that the bike will idle at around 1000rpm but only for a about 10 seconds then it will shut off unless i give it gas. Was wondering if a week battery can be the cause of this?? Also the fuel injection wont click on sometimes so ill have to take off the seat and readjust it then it clicks on fine. any thoughts or ideas?

what is the normal idle range for my bike? its an 02 f4i

could be a definate cause. also check/clean the terminals. rpm should be 1300+-200. and FYI mine says 1100 at idle but my power commander reads 1300 when the laptops hooked up so my guage is a little off/low. also if the batt has been disconnected for a while ride it for 20 min then stop and check it. the ecm needs to relearn mixture.

thanks for the advice but i must say it was a rather quick fix. it just needed an idle adjustment so i just adjusted the black knob down by the transmission
