Loss of torque after mivv gp titanium exhaust install
Hello,
I installed Mivv gp titanium on my 2002 f4i and i noticed a big difference in torque and power. In lower rpm's the bike is so lazy. If initially i would have did a wheelie in 2'nd gear.. i cannot do that anymore , i can only do it in first gear if i rev it hard. I also sense un-burned fuel. So i purchased a power commander 3 and installed it, loaded a two brothers slip-on map that has similar air flow to my mivv gp exhaust but i see no big difference between zero map and other maps. Should i upgrade to an k&n air filter, is this happening because it doesn't have enough air to flow? Does someone have an mivv gp carbon/x-cone/titanium map for power commander? Thanks! |
A K&N will niether flow more air then oem or fix your problem.
Is this just a slip on? It should not affect your powerband at all if so. |
It's a slip-on. I removed the air filter to test how the bike performs w/o air filter and i see just a little improvement.

You have the power commander, now go to a dyno and get it correctly tuned. That will fix your a/f ratio problem since you said you smelled fuel. If that doesn't fix your lowend problem put the stock exhaust back on and see if it changes. If it doesn't you know its something else. If it does then buy a yoshimura exhaust since they work.
