LOR exhaust with Micron Superlight Serpent Pipework

Got me some micron headers for 290 shipped, and I just bought a LOR exhaust, the satin black version(cf is wayy overrated). I plan on mating those two together, to ave a "custom" exhaust system(well sorta lol).

The thing is that micron headers have pipework that is at 2.125 in 54mm and the exhaust midpipe inlet is 2.25 in 57mm. How do i get those two pipes to fit without having a leak? Should I resize the micron headers to fit the midpipe, or just get a custom gasket made? Will it effect the performance gain or will it make it remain the same?

And for the headers I am planning on using the cometic gaskets that are thinner than stock gaskets to increase the compression just slightly. But until I get them in I have to use stock gasket that I have lying around.

Lemme know!! :)

take it to a muffler shop and have them stretch it out on their pipe bender.

+1 here....

also nice to see someone doing some custom exhaust work... i always admire extra ingenuity rather than just going with the same thing everyone else has....

bad news guys...the lor midpipe is 54mm and the header inlet for the midpipe is 60mm on the micron headers that i got, resizing the midpipe would not fare well id think because the wall thickness is only 1 mm.

But the core of the exhaust from lor is 57mm so if i could run a pipe from the exhaust core to the inlet it just might work right?

Which means back to teh drawing board to find out, length and diameter of the exhaust core inlet and the bends/length of the midpipe that i might want made.

This is turning into a real pain in the ass kinda deal lol, any suggestions people?

Take the mid pipe to a muffler shop and have them make you a new one at the 54mm and use an expander to get the other end to slip onto the header. Might wanna take the whole bike up there so they can perfect it. I had a guy make me one, it only cost me a case of beer. I felt like a kid again, sneaking beer in through the back door of the shop.

My Leo Vince pipe has a larger diameter than the Yosh header I put on so I had clamp it down really good with some muffler sealer.

Had to do some modification to the angle the header exited too.

im having the same problem with the same exhaust. your gonna have to use an extension to the pope, one inlet 61mm, the outlet 55
