i agree here as long as you can negotiate the price to pay for the things that need fixed it could be a good deal.....

as long as your not getting into the predicament im in... bought my f4i off EBAY from Florida and it didnt come in nearly as good of shape as it looked... which is good and bad but... im building my first bike trying to fix all the previous owners half @$$ stuff he did... ya its fun... but lordy its expensive... well its expensive if u wanna do it like i am...

well i ended up getting it. i test rode it and there was nothing wrong with it. shifted smooth brakes were good fluids were good. the owner pieced together the front plastics by finding them on ebay/craigslist (why the one on the right was red) also just missing the air ducts on both sides like you said. which if i wanna get i found both on ebay already for like 40 bucks + s&h. also those mirrors on it are worthless lol. other than that, that's pretty much all that was wrong.

thanks for the help and input

It was an 06 F4i with 4k miles, for about 3grand. It was so cheap because it had a branded title, form a theft recovery and had a hodge podge of different plastics on it, but mostly all there. I think if he stuck around 3k it's not a bad deal at all!! Slap some new paint on her, and the few little odds and ends and you'll be happy with her for years to come.

the plastics he added he ended up painting and match on the outside, only the right fairing is red on the inside. which is not a big deal to me. could always take it off and paint it to match. It's running great so i feel it was a great deal. just need to get those air ducts, different mirrors, front turn signals k&n and figure out what exhaust i want then i'll be happy for awhile

i've been thinking about the two bros shorty exhaust. what do you guys think about it?

Im looking for a real deep sounding exhaust. I dont like the high pitchy sounding ones. from what i've been reading two bros is supposed to be deep sounding. i also herd a fmf pipe that sounded pretty deep. what do you guys think?

or

and then just custom fit it to your bike... they are both very rumbly pitched exhausts
