lockhart phillips frame slider location ?

Default lockhart phillips frame slider location ?

i just got frame sliders for my 2006 honda f4i and i have seen pics of a few different locations were they can be mounted. does anyone know what the real location is ? i assume i am swapping out an engine bolt but which one ? and are the locations different on one side then the other ? thanks guys

If you remove the fairings, you'll see the bolt that goes into the upper engine mount. Remove that and replace with the one for the slider, and of course, cut the fairings to fit. I have the Lockhart Philips ones too. The left/right should be the same. If you look at all the F4i's with frame sliders, you'll get an idea of where the slider should mount to.

thanks for the fast reply so its the upper rear engine mount ? and one slider is longer than the other, which side does the longer one go on ? (left or right when sitting on the bike facing foward )

I don't remember exactly which side was what. In the package, there should be an instruction sheet that tells you which side which bolt and slider goes to. I don't want to take a guess since I might be wrong. Perhaps checking the Lockhart Philips site can help. And if that's the name of the engine mount, then yes. Here's a picture from my phone that shows you which area you should be looking at. Hope this helps!

usually the left bolt is longer than the right
