license plate light, which wire to tap into

Default license plate light, which wire to tap into

ok so i was looking for that white plug so i can tap in my license plate light, but the issue is.... i dont have one...., the guy have it before me have it all hack up, there's no plugs there at all, so which wire can i tap in to get power?

check the harness (or mess of) wires at teh rear that tree off to the rear turn signals... it should be in that subharness I believe..... check the wiring diagram in the manual.. I have it in pdf on my other PC if you need me to check..

Taps directly into the power and ground for the rear brake light. Constant power when key on is Black / Brown. Ground is Green.

yep, there is actually a license plate wire back there. it should be a brown and black wire for the positive, and a green for the ground.

ok i find a plug under the seat that have a brown wire and a green wire and some kind of plug but when i tap into it, i get power but not bright at all, and when i start my bike my FI light would come on, and if i unpulg it then the FI light goes off, can someone tell me what that plug that is and why would my FI light comes on?

It'll be back in the tail by the brake lights. And the wire is black with a brown stripe down it.

that is a service plug for the ECU. you dont want to mess with that....

so i am looking for a black wire with a brown stripe down it, then a solid green wire?

yep, might be a brown with black strip, im not sure. there should be all these wires back there: 2 wires for left turn signal, 2 wires for right turn signal, 2 sets of 3 wires for each taillight bulb, and 2 wires for license plate light. use your test light on any of the sets of 2 till you find the one that's not the turn signals
