Looks like a good deal, but it makes me wonder how well it actually works.

oh im not worried about how well it works its not really a complex piece... youd just have to fab ur own mounts... pita for some no big deal for others

IMO, if it's that cheap, it probably isn't that great. I have an adjustable GPR and it is great for the street and track days.

like i said before price is pretty much meaningless with something like this when u buy a gpr ur paying for a "brand" not the product itself...

a steering stabilizer is not a complex mechanism by any means

Steering dampers operate under the same principle as your forks and can make a big difference to the handling of just about any motorcycle if setup correctly. Valving inside the damper unit reacts to the forces transferred through the forks and crowns of your motorcycle. Internal hydraulic valving readjusts the amount of shock or impact that would have been received through your handlebars. The link arm which connects the stabilizer to the frame, reacts instantaneously, absorbing any unwanted movement. Your suspension was designed to handle the vertical movement of your motorcycle. Steering dampers completes your suspension by controlling the unwanted horizontal movement that is continually transferred, while riding or racing, to your handlebars. Quality steering dampers are adjustable for high speed and low speed "impacts" via the tuning dials located on the top of the unit and can be easily adjusted on the fly.

reason its so cheap is because its from hong kong..

I am actually thinking of geting this...My only worry is how would I mount it? I wonder if you can get a kit for the F4i? Or would I have to fab something?

__Z__ 05-15-2010 02:28 PM

na you could buy a mounting kit for a different damper...

andymp3 05-15-2010 02:32 PM

Would this work? It is a universal mounting kit...what size fork tubes do we have?
