Kind of dissapointed!!!
I purchased a 2brothers slip on and a K and N air filter today expecting to experience a new bike. What a let down. First off the pipe sounds sweet while idling, it has a nice grumbly bass. But at around 40 mph and 5000rpm's the loud whine of the pipes are annoying. I admit to feeling a little difference, but not a $350 dollars worth of difference. I could care less about sounding good for everybody at the stop light, I want more torque!!!!!! Lastly, I thought that I could unscrew a couple of bolts in the parking lot of the local bike store, and pop in my new K and N filter!!!!!!!! How was I to know I had to disassemble the entire bike just to get to the air filter? My old 02 sv650s (which I miss)only took me a couple of minutes. All in all, I think I'm going to return the slip on, but keep the filter, its just not what I expected!
A slipon isnt going to add a whole lot of anything. Its mostly for sound and appearence. A full system will give you the repsonse you are looking for, but a slipon may and 3 hp and a little torque, but not much at all. It should smooth it out a little. And yes, getting to the filter sucks.
all those exhausts are the same when it comes to performance and truthfully they dont do much. they are more for the look of the bike, not sure about the sound because they all appeare the same to me.
as for the air filter, its like a 40 minutes job. cant say its easy nor hard but consult with the manual next time. if you see a thing that needs to be taken of just to get to a thing you need than assume its minimum of an hour task. fairings dont count.

Thanks guys, also whats with the two mats that are suppose to lay on the air box? they fell off ,do I need to put them back on? Second question, would keeping the K and N air filter with the stock pipe make any difference?
you have a F4i, and you miss a ***** SV?
Whats wrong with you, and also a slip on isnt going to give you hardly any power...and a slip on isnt going to have a "grumbly" bass, your bike redlines at 15,000 rpms, its gonna have to get loud sometime...you are just use to that crappy v-twin sound of the suzuki...keep the slip on, and get a Power Commander, this will change your bike...have fun....sorry for the flaming[:@]

HeyLeveltwothe SV was pretty sweet for the way I ride. I'm 37 years old and way past trying to impress other people. I try (try is the operative word) not to speed, but when I do, I want to go, I want power on tap. That's what the Sv had down in the first few gears, tons of umpfh!! and that's what I was trying to recreate. Now I've read that the PCIII will smooth things out, but no real mention of noticeable real power. Explain the smoothing out that I keep hearing about.
