K6 GSX-R750 vs K3 CBR600F4i

Lol.... I want the F4i sooooo bad.. I travelled for 2 hours to see the f4i in question. On a 45 degree day mind you!!! He was selling for $8000, I offered $7500 cash then and there. He said no. So I said if you change your mind blah blah blah get back to me. I get a txt msg 8 or 9 days later saying that he had a reality check, that one of his friends had a crash and he would now sell it for $7500. I said I would take it right now and pick up the next day for $7000 seeing as I had to travel all back that way again, lol. Then the gixxer popped up. I really do want the F4i though. I went through every page of the F4i show off thread and saved all the ones I like the best out of there
I'm gunna try and bluff the f4i owner into letting it go at $7000 again

$8000 seems really high. I'm not positive on the conversion from your currency to US but what I found online is that about $7500 US. Kelley Blue Book of a K3 F4i, retail mind you, is $4225 so I'm not sure why so much and I know you said mint but come on, unless I'm missing something in conversion.

Wow f4i are expensive in Aussi. I own an f4i and honest after the currency conv. , if the 750 is only $1500aus more, i'd go for the 750. Its newer technology and style, if it fits your budget. I'd also consider the condition of the bike, though you say mint, thats just appearance. The bikes might be due for chain/sprockets, pads, tires, and so on. So consider those when picking your bike and when you check them out. And also consider aftermarket parts, newer model will have more availability.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong but i did the conv. Aus$5500-9000 is about US $5100-8,300. Wow inflation much? Its probably also do to availabiltiy by region.
I would choose the f4i over the 750 if you can talk the owner down alot to bring up that $1500 gap. Thats my 2 cent.

datru, he said in one of his first posts that the bikes only had a few thousand miles on them. neither of them need anything besides a rider, and i'd still go with the f4i. i'm not trying to be biased, but it's a better all around bike i think. you can track it, drag it, commute, yadayadayada. the gixxer is made for one thing.. fast. and to me it's uncomfortable.
and dave, i didn't wanna be the first person to throw out the squid card on the gixxer! thanks for opening that can of worms =)
