I've read where a lot of people are saying that you couldlose power by switching to the K&N. Most feel BMC is the way to go.

not worth the bling...after maybe 3 air filter changes it pays for itself, but from performance stand point...nope.

I'm surprised to read that it doesn't help powerwise. I've heard it'll provide a 3 - 5 hp boost so I've been thinking about buying one to go with the Yosh pipe and PC. Having some doubts now...anyone else out there with thoughts on this?

it will not give you any more power, unless the filter on your bike now is dirty as hell
but there is no power gain over a clean stock exhaust
that said, if you need a filter, the K&N is a good option because you can clean and reuse rather than buying a new one the next time

there was a dyno test of them a while back proving that they don't flow any more air than stock, its on the web somewhere

K&N is a waste of money & doesn't add any more power

Stick with the stock filters
