it will not give you any more power, unless the filter on your bike now is dirty as hell
but there is no power gain over a clean stock exhaust
that said, if you need a filter, the K&N is a good option because you can clean and reuse rather than buying a new one the next time
there was a dyno test of them a while back proving that they don't flow any more air than stock, its on the web somewhere
