K&N Power Commander vs Dynojet
K&N Power Commander vs Dynojet:
What is the difference in theese units? They look almost identical. How do you load maps onto the older power commanders that dont say usb on the front of them? Should i stay away from the older units and stick with the usb versions? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mark

RE: K&N Power Commander vs Dynojet
K&N are air filters, not FI modules. Dynojet makes the Power Commander. There is the older version that doesn't include USB and the newer one that uses USB. I don't think there is any difference between the USB and non-USB other than the USB. Loading the maps on the older version i believe is done through a serial port connection on your PC but i am not a 100% sure as i am really only familiar with the USB versions...

RE: K&N Power Commander vs Dynojet
i see, i didn't know K&N made one....most people here typically run the Dynojet power commander....looking at the picture, it looks like the same logo as the Dynojet one...the "Power Commander" part at least...i wonder if Dynojet bought the technology and now markets it....
i looked on the K&N site and it doesn't look like they offer it anymore...my guess would be it is an older power commander before Dynojet took over and started marketing them...

RE: K&N Power Commander vs Dynojet
K&N sells a re-badged power commander III, same product in everyway. Cali residents beware, a New Power Commander product called Power Commander EX is a gutless version designed to protect the ozones from the bad motorcycles. It is not tuneable below 6000RPM.
