Default k&n drop in plus slip on?

My 02 f4i bike has a k&n drop in filter and a yosh trs slip on that is a shorty now.. Its had that setup for probably 6 yrs and 5k miles. Running just those two items on the engine with no power commander isn't gonna hurt the engine over time will it?

Haven't noticed any problems with any of my CBR's I've had over the years. Have had slip- on's and K&N's on all of them with no power commander or even jetting my F4.

I have the same setup with pc3 and with the pc3 it smooths out everything plus you wont get crap mileage. without the pc3 it ran rich which got poor mileage and power delivery was jerky

I get great mileage. It ran rich and unsmooth like you said but that was my fpr took a ****. Replaced that and now it runs very smooth. No stutter sputter and anything. With just more air from filter and pipe I was worried about running lean if anything not rich.

After a dyno tune with the pc3 it definitely gave it better oomph throughout the rev range.

Yeah I've heard the pc will do that. Maybe in the future ill do it. But for now I just wanted to make sure it won't hurt anything.

Air filters don't change the airflow rate of the engine at all on the f4i and slip on exhaust don't do enough to even warrent a PC3 tune. I've had my slip on for over 30,000 miles now with no PC on the bike, plugs still look perfect when I change them.

Thinking about adding a pc3 latter down the road for my 03 f4i but mine runs smooth as can be and gets 35+ mpg average and i dont give mine any slack.

Trying to find a map for a yoshi rs3 and k&n before i order though.
