Default Just installed my Scorpio i900

Hello Everyone,

Just finished my alarm install yesterday. If anyone plans to go this route for security and need any helm, just let me know.

I put in the full system with both accessories. It's a neat little system to be honest.

I had some concerns during the process but figured them out. Now, willing to help if anyone needs it!

Where's the write-up?

I've been looking into alarm systems for a while, why did you pick the Scorpio?

sweating too much to finish the install, let alone take pics.

ok, i lie. i was just lazy.

i'm not too well versed with wiring and whatnot yet so i preferred the oem connectors that came with the scorpio. however, gorilla was the other option for like $200, which isn't too bad. i believe it's all very similar features too. i justified my purchase from reading others' reviews and opted for the scorpio

did you use the HON-2 connector? or the GENERAL?
i bought it with the oem connector for like $300.

and i KNEW the fuel pump/anti hijack question would come up! haha. if you take off the rear plastics there are some fuses on the right side of the bike, brake side. the rearmost fuse is your fuel pump fuse. i clip the fuel pump wire (fatter brown with tan stripe wire, NOT the thin brown with black stripe), soldered the RID-5 module to the ends and that was it.

of course, check if you cut the right wire by trying to start the bike. you won't be able to start the bike or even hear the FI going when the killswitch is turned on.

I used the General..........

It says to connect to the tail light..... I figured it was the running lights..... Maybe it's the license plate light......

I will give Scorpio a call.... I need to fix it quick. I was lane spliting and my alarm was chirping. Actually if anything it will let people know I'm coming!!!

Wow Tech Support was quick to answer!!!! The orange wire on the generic wiring harness can only be used on a light that doesn't have multiple functions.

When I tap my brakes my running lights get brighter, so I need to reroute the orange wire to my license plate lights. That sucks!!! I had everything all tucked away and looking pretty!!!!
