I got a new PC III USB for my '03. I just got off it and came inside. It makes a big difference. I read everything about it, some say it's good others say you don't really notice anything. I say everyone should get one it makes a big difference. I have a slip on 2 brothers and a BMC filter. loaded the map plugged it in, which is simple, and off I went. It is a lot smoother. Everyone says you don't gain much but they give you 4 stickers with it so that is at least 8hp if I am right at 2hp a stickerplus BMC gives you 2 so thats 4hp more. Seriously though I am glad I spent the money on it because it makes a difference.

 

i'm not sure what the efficiency is though in how sticker hp translates to wheel hp. glad to hear something good about PCIII for once. All kinds of people bitch about them because they were either let down by expecting big gains or ****ed up their bikes by not following directions it seems like.

 

i got a 2 bros. slipper as well with stock filter/no pc and im debating if i should go with a bmc/pcIII. i keep hearing mixed reviews on it. i might just wait till i find a pcIII for cheap and then try it out

 

imo, PCIIIs are way too expensive to justify the cost if you only have simple bolt ons...unless if youre like some lucky F4i'er that just bought one on ebay not too long ago for $130 shipped...or me who got one for $50 [8D]...other than that, id pass and spend it on gas to ride...

Expensive....yes....I was skeptical at first too, but a PCIII does make a difference. I don't know that it gives you performance gain as much as it fine tunes your power. Mines a little bent out of shape ATM, but when I first had it and set it up, it made the throttle response noticeably better and gave mine considerably more pull after the the 7/8K mark on the tach.

Worth it, yes.

 

when i got my f4i it came with PC III do i need to get a usb cable for it? were can i find a manual on it?
