Just got a new sprocket set...
So...
I've got this set (http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...I--608805.html). This is gonna be a conversion from 525 to 520 and -1/+2. It was delivered today, and I'm excited to put it on already! : ) First question: After installation, should I lube the chain, or what there is already will do for first 400mi? And damn, that rear sprocket is HUGE... Thanks guys! |
Yeah, the lube that comes with the chain will last a while. You may want to wipe some of the excess off lest it flings everywhere, which it will do anyways. Those Regina chains are nice looking :icon_goofygrin:

Two up is not a huge sprocket. Wanna see a 62 tooth stunt sprocket? lol

I'm waiting on some other pieces (stator cover and APE CCTL).
Gotta do the maintenance (oil, both filters) also, plus new mirrors (decided to try handle bars set), sliders and front blinkers... I want to try and get it all done in the same day, or at least same weekend. It's gonna be fuuun... Another small thing, should I get the nuts, which hold the rear sprocket, painted in black?.. And what do you think about spark plugs and valve adjustment for Hondas? How often would you do it? |
Actually I think some gold nuts would look good against a black sprocket and gold chain.
Depends how many miles you have on. I just threw in some iridium ngk's in for the hell of it. Everyone will tell you something different on valve clearance. The book says check at 16k miles. Remember it only says check, they may very well be in tolerance yet. I guess it varies from bike to bike regarding how much it's got it's ass handed to it. |

Hmmm gold actually sounds good. I might do just that.
To Aken: hey man, I know that 48 isn't big BIG, but to me it's big lol 62, on the other hand, is a really biiiig ... Thanks for all your input guys! |
