Just finished installing...
Hey guys,
Got my pimpbikes undertail in today and went at my old fender with a dremmel like a mad man.
It looks great and my integrated light looks pretty pimp too if i may say so myself. lol.
now i'm pondering what to do with my licence plate, i've been scouring the web for one of those chain-guard licence plate holders with no luck.
Anyone know where I can get one?
my current solution is not so great, lol, view the last picture ...
anywho, here are a few pics of the undertail installed.
done and done.

Check on ebay, or fabricate your own outta some sheet metal, or aluminum. I got some aluminum diamond plate from my local hardware for less than 20 bucks. Its enough to do the chain gaurd and license plate bracket, now I just need to get off my lazy **** and do it.
Oh BTW I likes. Simple yet elegant.

Get two 'L' shaped 90 degree brackets. That's what my Hotbodies undertail install kit came with.

thnx for the idea dave but I really don't want to drill holes into my new under-tail.
I'm working on a little fabricated piece, kinda like what skooby advised,
it'll be mounted next to the stock chain guard,
I should have it done and painted by tmro. I'll post some pics.
thnx for the imput.

wow, that is ridiculous.
But laws are laws.
Anywho, I have a buddy of mine that works in our local police station as dispatch and i reguraly ask him questions regarding law and sometimes just to make sure that I'm in the clear about different things.
From what he let me know, as long as the plate is clearly visible and not obstructed i should be alright. I've already mounted a bracket next to the chain guard and it looks just fine, maybe i'll add an LED strip if white lights to help illuminate the plate.
I'll try and post pics of it today afternoon.

A few pics with my crappy cell phone camera.
The plate is actually nicely visible, i had my wife drive behind me for a few miles and she noted she could easily read the plate numbers.
I left a few of the numbers visible so that you guys can see the clear visibilty of them, the crappy resolution of the phone camera kinda defeated that purpose.
But there it is. A custom plate holder made out of 2 home-depot aluminum ties.
Cost: $2.87 w/tax.
Done and done.

Cops have really stepped up the bike laws lately, and if it's not completely 90* with the ground, they will nail you.
