just bought my f4i, have a question
Just picked up a 2001 f4i (impulse buy), and have a coolant question (searched but couldn't find an answer)
I noticed the coolant jug (next to my right ankle) didn't seem to have any coolant in it.. is that the overflow bottle? Or the main bottle? Wondering if I should go pick up some Honda HP coolant from the cycle shop.
I've ran it a few days and it didn't seem to be overheating, would get up to 220* at stop lights but while driving it wouldn't go over 200*..
Just wondering if I need to fill that bottle on the right side?
Thanks!

That jug under your right leg is the coolant tank, an over flow or reservoir per say. You should add the proper level there, and into the radiator as well if the overflow tank is empty (only open radiator cap when engine is completely cold.) and check for leaks by replacing cap and running to temperature. It only takes a few drops of sweet smelling coolant to put you on your side. Most f4is run 220 to 225 degrees before the fan kicks on.
