Just took my bike out today. Clear roads, and a nice and warm 33 degree Chicago day. Bike felt great, really powerful. I guess that's cause I hadn't really ridden it in about 5 months. And I still took it pretty easy.

Short of getting heated gloves, what do you guys reccomend? That's the only part of me that is still getting cold and I can't figure out how to keep it warm.

I use my Burton snowboard glove inside liners and cram them in my street gloves.

Ah, I may try that. I have a nice pair of warm work gloves, but I have another that's a size too big. Should work great.

No experience with these but I've thought about getting a pair of these

and then slipping my leather gloves over them.

50, that'd be nice, I'd take that. Had mine out last Saturday, went to state inspection, probably in the 40's but I was comfortable. I don't do anything for the winter anymore...I try to ride at least once /week even if its a short one. I do keep the tries off the ground though. All I need is a pair of heated gloves and I'll be totally into ridin' on winter days in the 30's. As long as the salt is off the roads.

Cold weather breeds potholes here in Philly. Streets I drive every day have suddenly developed craters almost overnight. A couple tried to swallow my gf's Beetle whole. And there's still fecking salt dust on streets.

Philadelphia hates riders. First couple rides are gonna be fun

HMM, that might not be a bad idea. I think I'll pick up a pair.
