RE: Insurance
Only people who get liabilty is the ones who own 2 or more bikes have experiance and put liability on there less favorite bike and the one they hardly ride or either the ones who are cheap or not financially capable of affording full coverage if thats the case you shouldnt own a bike

RE: Insurance
i was only going to put liability on it because i've heard for a 17 year old male with a motorcycle full coverage can be thousands of dollars. If i was buying a brand new or more expensive bike i could see it being worth the money but, the bike is a 2003 with 18k on it and the seller is asking 2900. I've worked it out that im goign to trade him my motocross mess around bike (2000 kx 125 ) that i picked up back in april for 900 bucks in good condition and 1200 cash. i dont really think it'd be worht it to get the full coverage. Btw do you think this is a good deal?

RE: Insurance
Depends on what the condition of the F4i is in. If it's in good condition, then that's a great deal. It's l.ike you're paying $2100 (with the bike and cash) for it instead of $2900. Sounds awesome to me. Get full coverage. You never know when someone may be lurking around and BAM! Stolen bike. Now, you're out on the $2100 you invested.

RE: Insurance
I'm 19, on my own insurance, with one careless/improper driving ticket... I pay $600-something/yr for liability from progressive.
And about the whole "you shouldn't get liability on a bike" thing... think about it this way... you're paying roughly double what you would for liability. After a few years, you could literally buy another bike with the extra money. I'd put full coverage on a show bike or a brand-new bike... but not something worth $3500.
