Personally, I have GEICO. I pay $316 a yr for full coverage (higher limits on medical). Geico has a significant Military/Veteran discount, which goes a long way w/ me. I have other discounts/qualifiers. As for challengers, no other company has even come close to matching my Geico rate. Every year that I'm a policy holder, my rate goes down. From a service standpoint, I can tell you from my experience, that Geico has taken care of me when I've needed them...w/ claims, phone, & mail.
Good luck.

Wow, it's hard to believe how much you guys are paying!
I'm 19, never had a ticket/wreck/etc..
Full coverage on my 05' F4i is 251$ a year with $500 deductible.
Comprehensive coverage is $171.85
Liability is $140
These are all yearly prices from Country Financial.
I just got these quote today as I just got my bike finished. The only downside is, I have to pay that up front, and if I decide in the winter I want to take insurance off, I don't get any portion of my money back; but for this price, im not complaining!

Yeah I wasn't arguing with you, or refuting your good experience with Geico. Just an example of what you're saying is correct.

I have Shelter insurance...they only allow liability on sport bikes, at least that is what my agent told me, and I pay $75 a year. I am 27 and a clean driving record and also have my wife's car, my truck, and our old 67 plymouth insured with them. The funny thing is that once I insured my bike, it dropped my other insurance like $70 a year so in reality, with the extra discount, I am only paying $5 a year to insure mine. 2002 f4i liability only. This is not state coverage minimum either, I think I doubled it but really do not remember without pulling my policies out.....

Hey man.
Hey dude I also am a 19 year old with a 2002 CBR F4I. I know your dilemma! I had to go through the same crap! anyway I suggest trying Dairyland insurance! its what I ended up getting! I chose the states minimum and pay like $20 a month. I got lucky with them because most insurance wont insure me or charge me so much because as you said the F4I is considered a high performance bike. Good luck man and ride safe!

Are you guys serious?!?!!????
damn you guys have it nice when it comes to insurance.
Clean record, 21 years old, 2001 f4i and it's just under $4000 liability here in Toronto, Canada AND we can only ride 7 months out of the entire year because of winter.
and yes I did shop around, this was the cheapest rate i could get.

They go by engine size only and not the class of the bike
