Installed my vortex sliders today.

Well I just got the bike 3 weeks ago. Being my first bike I knew frame sliders were a must. I bought a set of previously installed vortex's off ebay for 25 plus 8 shipping. Pretty good deal I think. I already had the tools needed except for the torque wrench which I got from Craigslist for 25 bucks (new Craftsman). I used the laser pointer method and it could not have been easier. Now I have a little bigger piece of mind. I appreciate the idea that was posted here on the forum.

Awsome, now post up some pics!

Pics or ban! ;)

Not to jack the thread too, but come spring time, I'm going to be picking up a cheap cheap set of track fairings, like go on ebay and just say "give me the cheapest". And I have no reservations about drilling holes for sliders.

My question is, on the track, will sliders help. Because my only thinking is that if you wash at like 80 in a corner, will sliders really help? It's about 40 dollars I can spend elsewhere. (Keep in mind I don't care about the fairings, just the frame)

I take full credit. You're welcome.

Easy boys. I will get some pics. It is already dark here when I get home and near dark when I leave. I just took some but they are junk. I will get some this weekend and post. Please please don't ban me...

^Note the smiley face or sarcasm. Interwebz translation fail. It's something we say as a joke on another forum I'm apart of.

Generally speaking they do help but it depends on the crash. As the bike is sliding along the frame slider can catch on something and cause the bike to flip.

I know it was joking. Again. You can't say what you mean and not mean what you say unless you are in person. haha.
