Icon Boots Created a Problem with my Shifter...HELP!!!!!!!

Hey Guys....Just a little backround info on my self. I've been reading alot of great info on this site but havent posted much, just trying to learn as much as possible from reading. Anyway I bought a 2004 F4I in April and love it so far. Well I finally decided that I needed some riding boots and so I went with the Icon Motorhead boots from Motorcycle SuperStore on closeout for 59.99 & they were reg 150. Anyway I finally got them Friday. They fit great but I have one kinda big problem. I have trouble fitting my boot under the shifter. Because the boot is steel toe it is obviously higher then my running shoes. So my question is can you adjust the position of the shifter and or the position of the footpeg & if you can would somebody please explain how this is done. I thought the newer sportbikes have a shifter than you can easily adjust. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!!

Had to do this on mine when i got my new boots..All you need to do is adjust the shifter rod(the one that goes to the shifter pedal)..It has enough room to adjust that you can put it where you need to..

All you need is a 10mm wrench to loosen the two nuts on the rod.

Look at the connection link between the shift peg and the transmission. The link has thread on both ends. Adjust by turning the link until it allows for your larger boots. It shouldn't be too hard.

Also you need some time for the boots to soften up and to get used to the feel. Then you might not have to adjust too much.

I also had to adjust mine when I started using dedicated A* riding boots.

Another thing I did was do a little gentle pounding on the toe area of the left boot because it was so stiff and that gave me a little more feel when toeing the lever.

Also: It was a while back but as I recall you can adjustthe lever sofar so that it won't go cleanly into gear.
