As for the F4i's spark plugs, does eveyone agree with this?

"You shouldn't need to change the sparkplugs on the F4i for quite a while. I would say at least 20,000 miles. The spark plugs are iridium tipped and designed to last for a long time, which is a good thing since they are $24 a pop."

Nope, Manual says replace every 16,000 and you should be able to find them for $14 each.

Sounds good. Since they are NGK Iridium tipped from the factory, then I wont change em until at LEAST 16k.

Random question for anyone to answer: How do people paint their entire engines black? Is it as simple as taking the engine out and having someone powdercoat it? (obviously prepping and taping over the parts not needing to be powdercoated) Is this a simple process? As simple as yanking the motor, prepping and powdercoating?

Or is an easier route to prep/tape off the motor and hit it with some high temp rattle can?

I'm so jealous of those damn 2007+ RR motors ; ) Inside and out!

its probably cheaper to get some rattle cans and paint it yourself. but easier in general to just pay someone else to do it if you have the fundage
