I can see the $95/year being right, but its for absolute bare-bones state minimum liability which is like 10/20/10. Mine is through Progressive and the liability portion of my coverage is about $115/year but i have higher limits...my full coverage is about $85/mo with a spotless record. My guess is they haven't run your record yet. Did you tell them you have a bad record??

$560/month is daylight robbery!
I'd like to see the scenerio where one could possibly cause $2 mill in damage on a bike...unless you plan on colliding with a Ferrari showroom and the whole building caves in.

The lowest progressive will write a MC policy for is $75 a year. The one bike I used to have that $75 got me completely full coverage with like a $50 deductible of I totalled it...it's a real shame I couldn't handle riding it more than a few minutes at a time without my hips locking up on me. My policy actually jumped up when I sold it.

Would that cover medical because 2 mill in medical bills can add up quick depending on the injury and what not

only reason to have 2 mil liability is to match it with 2 mil UM.

UM, uninsured or underinsured motorist, is the way to go guys.

That's exactly what I told my agent. I said, if I can somehow do more than 200k worth of damage, I'll be amazed. But my medical was up there. And now, come to think of it, it shouldn't be, because I'm on my parents health insurance....hmm.

Dude I told them I had a terrible record, and told them about all my accidents and tickets! It is the bare minimum coverage, too. BARE minimum. I turn 25 next year, and am getting married in March so hopefully the rates for coverage on a bike will go down enough for me to get a 1000

If your rate for a 600 is less than $8/mo, the rate on a 1000 couldn't be THAT much more...even if its double, I'm sure $16/mo is well within your ability (if its not, owning a bike is not for you).
