Default I have a problem?

My gauges have shut down. I thought it was the fuse, so I put in a new fuse and it started working again. After driving about 5 miles the gauges went out. What can this problem be, hopefully not a short in the wiring.

short in the wiring...blowing fuse. It should be a loose or cut into wire hitting the frame over bumps causing the short

Is that something expensive to fix with a mechanic?

i doubt its too pricy... a good honda mechanic should be able to find this short fairly quickly. i'd say max 2, 2-1/2 hours labor....
