I dropped my bike

I dropped my bike
I dropped my bike last week and scratched up my left fairing, cracked my upper fairing, and scratched my tail. I was wondering if there was any way I could fix it or make it look better without buying new fairings. Could I take it into a shop or should I just forget it and save up for new fairings?

RE: I dropped my bike
Hmmm always a sad, sad day. Nothing like hearing the crunch of fairings hitting the deck. I did the same with a mates bike a while ago- got on it after a few brews and forgot I had the kickstand up (the no drinking and riding policy is now if effect!). We got quotes for a respray and nearly died- and as someone else mentioned- if you spend the dough to get it fixed, history may end up repeating itself. We just used a touch up pen (can't believe how many friggn shades of black there are!), and my mate is going to get the fairings sprayed just before he sells it.

RE: I dropped my bike
I got run over by my wife at one point, and I bought a new right side fairing ($500 I think), but had a guy fix my front fairing (quoted in the high $600 range for a new one), and he charged me $200 to fix and paint. He got the paint wrong, but he did a great job fixing it, and now I am more original for the mix up in colors. I guess, what I am trying to say, is you can have your plastic fixed by a good body shop for way cheaper. Maybe turn them on to this site first to get a color match: Color Rite
